Alexander McLaren Memorial Foundation
Who is Alexander McLaren?

The Alexander McLaren Memorial Foundation (AMMF) was established in 1996 by the McLaren family in honor their father Alexander, who instilled in them the importance of helping others. This foundation aims to support families in times of need, continuing Alexander's legacy of compassion and generosity. Through their efforts, the family hopes to inspire others to give back and make a difference in the lives of those in need.

The McLaren family has a deep appreciation for C.S. Mott's Children's Hospital, which played a vital role in their lives when Maggie, the great-granddaughter of Alexander McLaren, was born with a congenital heart. Thanks to the life-saving care she received at Mott's during her heart transplant as an infant, the McLaren family decided to make C.S. Mott's Children's Hospital the main benefactor for the foundation. In addition to Mott's, AMMF also provides assistance to other individuals both locally and across the country when a need arises.
